Do people keep on telling you that you need seat cushions for your bay windows? This is something that most people think is necessary but the truth is that they are not. The reason why I say that bay windows don’t need seat cushions is because they don’t. Do I like seat cushions on bay windows, yes, but that doesn’t mean that every window needs them.
What you need to understand is that seat cushions on bay windows are not always necessary because not all bay windows will have a seat. Did you know that some bay windows are so small that they don’t have enough room for a seat? Think about it, what if the window was above your kitchen sink? When determining whether or not you need a seat cushion on your bay window you need to think whether or not you will even use it. I know for me, I would use a seat cushion because I like to read and just relax by the window, but not everybody is like I am.
Even though seat cushions are not necessary, I just wanted to give you a reason why I recommend them. One of the things that most people don’t realize is that not having a seat cushion on your bay window will mean that more light will come through the window, which in turn heats up the room. If you want to keep your room cool, then it is imperative that you have something in the way to catch the sunlight before it hits the room. Trust me, all outward facing windows are different but this is one thing they all have in common. I am not saying that you need seat cushions but in my opinion you and your house will be better off with them
